Color Guard
General Information
Color Guard provides wonderful visual aspects to the Golden Wave Band's halftime performances. Utilizing flags as their main equipment, the Color Guard is the visual interpretation of the music, enhancing the look of the band and performing for thousands of Big 12 audience members throughout the course of the season.
2026 Audition Information
The Baylor Color Guard uses an online audition process. Prospective members will be required to submit a video audition.
In order to obtain the audition information, all interested perspective students must fill out the 2026 Golden Wave Band Online Contact Form. Color Guard audition packets will be sent out starting in May 2026 to committed Baylor and MCC students.

2026 Audition Timeline
Step 1: Prospective members complete the 2026 Golden Wave Band Online Contact Form.
Step 2: Prospective and returning members complete the 2026 Color Guard Audition Agreement Form. Form will be sent by the Band Coordinator to committed Baylor and MCC students.
Step 3: Audition materials will be emailed out in mid to late May by Band Coordinator.
Step 4: Video submissions due June 29, 2026 and will be reviewed by CG Leadership. The color guard instructor will reach out to each applicant with results by mid-July.
Step 5: Color Guard Camp, August 15-16, 2026: preseason week begins August 16, 2026.
