Woodwinds and Brass
Prerequisites for Automatic Acceptance (No Audition Required!)
If you are a woodwind or brass player see the information below. Click on the section names here if you are interested in Drumline, Color Guard , or Golden Girls.
- Four years of playing experience on your instrument. If you do not have four years of experience on your instrument or you changed instruments recently, you may still qualify. Fill out the form below.
- Play an instrument we march. The Golden Wave Band (GWB) has the following instrument sections:
- Piccolos (flute players play piccolo in the GWB and no previous experience is required)
- Clarinets (we do not march bass clarinets - those players either play regular clarinet in the GWB or we highly encourage a switch to tenor sax)
- Alto Saxes
- Tenor Saxes (we do not march bari saxes - we encourage those players to switch to tenor or alto sax)
- Trumpets
- Mellophones (horn players play mellophone)
- Trombones (known as Bonesquad in the GWB)
- Baritones
- Tubas (we march sousaphones)
- Ready to support the Baylor Bears!
If you meet the above prerequisites, you AUTOMATICALLY QUALIFY to be a member of the Golden Wave Band!
