Bear Bands
Each year the Golden Wave Band accepts high school juniors/seniors to be a part of the exciting gameday atmosphere at McLane Stadium!
Participants will meet our designated staff and receive a t-shirt and instructions for the day's activities. Participants will meet members of the Golden Wave within their instrument section, eat a gameday meal with the band, gain entry into the game, and play their instruments in the stands with the band. Students will need to bring their personal instruments to participate (we do not provide instruments). Fee for participation is $40 per person (collected prior through registration, cannot be paid day of).
Sample Gameday Schedule (approximately 9 hours)
- 4 hours before kickoff - Arrive at McCrary Music Building, meet up with Golden Wave Band for pregame rehearsal at Allison Indoor Facility
- 2 hours before kickoff - Bear Walk
- 50 minutes before kickoff - March to McLane
- 15 minutes before kickoff - Pregame
- Game time: in stands with Golden Wave Band Members until completion of game
- Watch the Golden Wave Band halftime show from the field
- 5th Quarter, Postgame Concert immediately following the game
- March back to Allison Indoor Facility for dismissal
2025 Bear Band dates are September 13 and November 29. Click here for the Bear Bands registration link. Please note a separate payment link will be sent in the registration form confirmation email you will receive after you complete the Bear Bands Registration Form. You will not be considered registered until the Bear Bands payment has been completed.
